Changeling Magic Permissions
The Mask
As a Changeling, Gil is no longer fully human. He's all but a shambling mess of a monster, with very little consistency or coherency between his body parts' theoretical sources. His general build is human enough, albeit jacked to hell and covered in an inch-short layer of thick, brown-black fur; but that's about where the similarity ends. Bulky gorilla-like arms hang down to his knees, not long enough to knuckle along but good for getting an astounding quadrupedal turn of speed. A wiry lupine tail hangs between solid hind legs, but doesn't quite reach the oil-black cloven hooves at their base. His eyes really are human, albeit with blood red irises, but his mouth and nose are a hyena's messy, scarred snout, with too-large fangs and a pronounced underbite, and his ears are bat-like and overlarge. He looks like he should have a thick mane, running from his head and shoulders, all the way down his spine and over most of his chest, but his fur is shaved hap-hazardously into submission (neater on his front than back, for obvious reasons).
He is, essentially, a fairy tale monster from a nightmare.
Normally, no one can see this: this is because he has that special Changeling illusion known as a Mask, that hides his changes completely and utterly from mundane eyes. Someone could touch him and feel skin instead of fur, be scratched by his claws and think they're just nail marks, be kicked by a hoof and the bruise, to mundane eyes, is shaped like a human footprint. It's very thorough, and persists in photos and even death.
Under certain circumstances, however, the Mask can be seen through. It can't be seen through with any kind of standard modern technology, but other Changelings see through it automatically. D&D skills such as True Seeing would work, but if you're not too sure then leave a comment and I'll think on it!
Fearmongering
As a member of the Autumn Court, Gil has the Contract Witches' Intuition and he's not afraid to use it. What this contract does is allows him to discern one of the subject's fears in exchange for telling them one of his own, and allows him to redirect their fears onto a different target for the length of the thread. This ability doesn't hurt anyone, but Gil will know what your character is scared of. This can end up giving highly situational results - if your character is already scared of something present or on high alert, Gil's gonna get a false positive.
The reason this skill is important is because Gil's court is represented by the emotion fear: a good way for him to recharge his Magic Bullshit is to scare people and siphon off the fear he's just caused. This doesn't hurt any persons involved or impact on the emotion in any way; it's just a Thing Gil Can Do. It doesn't necessarily have to be fear either; that's just the easiest and most refilling emotion for him to harvest, though deeper emotions give much better glamour than a moment's passion.

Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? SURE
What is your character scared of? people she cares about being replaced by "pod people," being jeered at for ASD, really bad cases of Paradox, rejection in general
Anything else? IT WAS REALLY HARD TO THINK UP FEARS FOR HER IN THIS AU because like 90% of what scares the shit out of Syn Thorne were fears she got during the VtM campaign or through Syn and obviously Mage Thorne doesn't have that

Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Absolutely
What is your character scared of? Being alone with his own thoughts, dying/being replaced without doing as much as he can first, dying/being replaced without anyone noticing he's gone, letting others get close enough to betray him, his secrets being seen or known, physical violence & being overpowered, tight spaces, things with too many holes in them
Anything else? Art's permissions are here as he comes with several warnings; context for those and his fears can be found here if you'd like.

For the record Gil is going to think Artemis is probably some kind of like. Low-key Fairest-adjacent? Which means Artemis is going to find it uncannily easy to push Gil around, if he's subtle about it, since Gil has an innate semi-magical weakness to Unnaturally Hot People Bossing Him Around.

Can your character see through Gil's Mask? Ya, Changeling
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Yes!
What is your character scared of? Being exposed publicly. Being vulnerable. Vivisection, particularly in front of an audience. Being plugged into a network and being unable to escape, again. Arcades and arcade games. Polybius. Being recognized by someone who they tormented Over There.
Nosty
Can your character see through Gil's Mask? Nope! Though he does have visions of the future, and it might be cool for him to see Gil correctly in one of those.
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Yes!
What is your character scared of? Losing
yet anotherlover, the Black Plague, his own failures as a physician, a patient dying in his arms, hearing children pleading for help and being unable to save them, his old schoolmaster, vultures.Anything else? You're awesome and I love you.

Nosty's visions giving him the real Gil would be fantastic tho, I'm all for it >:3c
cw: forced captivity, gov experimentations, very traumatised Dirk
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Bring it on; this bab has no defenses against that.
What is your character scared of? Dirk has a really fucked up history. Tl;dr is he was 'given' to Blackwing by his mum and there as a kid underwent extensive questioning, endured experiments to test his abilities (that could not be quantified or explained) and lived in this facility for literally half his life. Oh and there was an especially nasty and sadistic sort named Priest and, uh. Their history together wasn't sunshine and rainbows. (links are to a moodboard and art where he calls Dirk "baby bird" because, y'know, Icarus, wings, etc). Dirk fears Blackwing, being forced to go back (which of course happens in S2), and especially Priest. He still deals with the psychological trauma from the experiments, along with memory loss and headaches from the forced electrocution.
Anything else? Permissions & Visuals for some actual rainbows (as palette cleanser)

The character learns a fear not currently concerning the target; The character learns a specific kind of fear; The character discovers a fear the target recognizes but generally keeps hidden; The character finds a fear the target hides even from herself.
So we can either like. Roll for the specific fear we wanna play with or just fuck around and grab something stupid and intense and Gil can feel bad about setting off an actual PTSD response later.

oh by the by, I noticed in your post you say prose is easier for mobile tagging; would you like me to switch to that in our current thread? i'm good with either/or tbh, typing on keyboard :>

at workat a laptop currently, and it's never been a huge issue for me so I'm not fussed either which way!And yes having Martin pop in and cockblock Gil trying to get his Glamour is fucking hilarious to me, Gil puts ALL THIS WORK into making Dirk scared and Martin just swoops in and takes it all first.

OneThree and hates life forever. i love it. i love it so much.no subject
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? yes, bring it!
What is your character scared of? wolves. confined spaces, particularly endless vintage-themed corridors that show no way out. drowning.
Anything else? her permissions post is here, and we can always plot dream walking shenanigans :D

But no Gil will look like his monstrous self in dreams bc he hasn't got the requisite Contracts of Dream to do anything about it - but he will be able to Harvest way better Glamour if he ends up in Silje's dreams, as opposed to her walking in his. And im happy for her to be able to see him as himself at any point you're good with, since she's inherently a magicman!

Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? ye, though London will probably know what's up
What is your character scared of? Observation. Exposure. Betrayal. That Place.
Anything else? Permission post here, I still need to put in the fancy HTML code box thing.
cw: human experimentation, ptsd, blood/violence, death
Nope, Zack has nothing that would make him see through this.
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character?
Yep, go for it. /o/ Given the sensitive content, I'd just like a little plotting beforehand is all.
What is your character scared of?
Zack's a big damn hero type, so failure's kinda the default here. Failing to protect the people he cares about mainly. Outside of that, restraints, medical facilities and surgical equipment, being enclosed in tube-like structures, and scientists with questionable ethics are his biggest red flags due to being experimented on during the Nibelheim Incident. Zack tends to relive those moments when he has nightmares as well as from his final stand where he becomes a bullet pincushion and kicks the bucket.
Anything else?
Zack's permissions are here.

cw: guns, murder, violence against children, medical badness, mannequins, body horror... the works
Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Yes!!! 100% yes.
What is your character scared of? So much. Everything. Adults. Being trapped. Being hunted. Being carved up. Being vulnerable. Hospitals. Doctors. Adults. Teachers and bullies and schoolhouses and things moving in the dark and disembodied body parts. Uh, guns and too-open too-bright spaces and traps. Adults. And especially being alone.
Anything else? While he's scared of a lot of things very much all the time, Mono's also gotten really used to having to face them on the regular; the fear no longer stops him from moving forward. He's got an opt-out here just in case, and permissions here.
Re: cw: guns, murder, violence against children, medical badness, mannequins, body horror... the wor
problemApex Predator and he gives off massive "can and will fuck you up" energy to other Changelings, so Mono can probably pick up on it too, but he promises he's nice.no subject

Would you be alright with Gil using Witches' Intuition on your character? Yep!
What is your character scared of? People finding out she's a fraud, starvation, unsanitary food or infected injuries, being left exposed or without the upper hand in situations, vague nebulous fears about being Seen and Understood.
Anything else? Patty's permissions are here; https://sharpshooting-sawbones.dreamwidth.org/595.html

What is your character scared of? Death. His mission to destroy Earth. His alter ego taking over his body again. The last one has some specific triggers, like black ichor and his own voice.
Anything else? I still have your information about Astral's own brand of weird, so we're good. Btw, the latter fear about his alter ego is tied to his apparent mission to destroy Earth.

What is your character scared of? Losing Hilda (her sister) in a permanent way/losing anyone she loves, really. Also afraid of being abandoned and alone for the rest of her life (which sort of ties into the other) and being completely powerless with no magic.
Anything else? He could definitely feed off of her guilt. Since Sabrina died it comes off of her in waves, I'm sure, to anyone sensitive enough to it. I'm not sure if 'Doubting your faith' can be an emotion, but there's that too if it's something he could pick up on!
